Still going well, if you just stick with vaping after awhile you don't miss the stinkies and perfectly happy to vape instead. The change happened when I started using the K1's instead of the nautilus mini, I was not happy vaping from something so big, it's a weird reason.

Anyway my father is not out of the woods, he has very large blockages in both legs which effect his walking. Also his has blocked Carotid Arteries in the neck one 100% blocked and other 80%.

The doctor he had been going to all these years said he was fine until he had his heart attack. Amazingly he still goes to the same doctor, a few weeks later he went to him complaining of chest pains again, he said it could not be his heart and gave him pain killers. His wife said to go to a specialist about his sore legs and they found all this other stuff.

All the shit my father is going through, I certainly am not going to smoke again. Operation on his Carotid arteries next week, then operations on legs later...

He is still smoke free BTW, cold turkey with patches.

I really struggle to smoke since I started vaping. I didn't start to quit smoking, I just thought it was a fun gimmick and I wanted one. I pretty much preferred it to smoking right from the start.

I still have the occasional cigarette, but I only ever have the desire if I'm drinking with people who smoke. Even then I usually don't even manage to finish a whole one these days.

It gets harder and harder the longer I vape.

JenJ, I am not sure with me, I did go out with some friends (out for drinks) and smoked 3/4's of a packet 6 weeks ago, I really enjoyed them and noticed while I had cigarettes on me, I did not touch my vaping device & the next day I felt really terrible, but because I still had cigarettes left I smoked the rest in the morning, it was only after I ran out of cigarettes I used the vaping device again, but that was 6 weeks ago and I swear I have not touched a cigarette since. Main thing was I did not buy another packet after which caused me to fail quitting the first attempt as you get back into the habit again.

Just keep vaping, you'll be right. I've been doing for about 20 months now and every month that goes by cigarettes fade further and further into the shadows of the past. Don't stress about the ones you have cuz in the scheme of things they will become insignificant.

If you actually think about how the ciggies taste when you are smoking them, and then taste your mouth afterwards it will soon put you off (well it did me anyhow).

Taste like a horrible burnt tar that won't even be washed away with beer. Anything that makes beer taste like shit must be bad for you.

The ciggies still smell nice to me, but the actual smoking of the things is all wrong...

There are no judgements here. All of us switched to vaping for various reasons. Some for health, some for money, some liked the taste of flavours better, some for other people's approval. Its doesn't matter what the reason, it is very personal and so is the grip that smoking had on us (I say us because most of us seem to be heavy smokers). I found that after vaping quite happily for over 9months I was hit by the most incredible cravings. I had the flu at the time and my defences were low. I came really close to buying a pack, but luckily I was too sick to go out and slept them off. But the deep triggers were still there. Smoking was the only thing that stopped me coughing when I had whooping cough and I had forgotten about using ciggies as a cough suppressant.

Maybe your deep trigger will hit you when least expected but if you are aware you can cope.

Hi I am still vaping, I have not had a cigarette this year apart from 1 or 2 times I had one from a friend to remind but I didn't like them and put them out 1/2 way through. Vaping is the way to go, the friend is now vaping as well and he says it is working well for him.

I havn't spent much money either, still using Spinner 2 (only lasts a few hours now but still pumps out the power) and bought some new KGO mega batteries for about $30, the coils for the mini nautilus again would have been about $30 this year. I got sick of buying flavours as they too expensive and didn't care for any of them much so what I do now is just dilute the 10% nic with a lot of PG and then add a little Glycerine based food flavouring from Coles which only cost $1 (currently using Coconut and Strawberry flavours as they were the only ones which were VG, others were PG or water based). Still got 75% of my nic bottle left too

BTW my father is doing well, had his last stint inserted into his leg a month ago, his whole body was clogged up (still is but blood this flowing through better now).

Thank you Crisscross, I keep forgetting to check the forums out regularly, havn't been here in awhile. I did prefer the K1's at the start but preferred the mini again. I gave my K1's to the friend and he then promptly ordered a few hundred $$$ worth of gear (including an Atlantis) and flavour concentrates, I just can't be bothered with all the new stuff, I just stick to what I know is good and easy. I have the K1's again as he gave them back to me saying he can't vape unless it is a sub.

Woah, been another long time since I updated this thread. Yes still vaping, it is going perfectly. I have an iStickTC40W now which is way better than the batteries I was using before, holds +1 day charge easy. Only battery I have now and have been using it for 6 months. My 1 litre of 10% Nic has 500ml left and that is after giving some to friends and me spilling 1/2 of it trying to pour it into the little bottles. I have just been mixing it with the Queen Glycerine from the store and sometimes it's flavours but usually unflavoured. I've been getting 1-2 months out of each aspire cartridge so the vaping hardly costs me anything. Best thing about unflavoured is there is no smell, so I vape everywhere and unless some sees me making a cloud, they don't know.

My father is still going well, he hasn't smoked either and he doesn't vape but he is putting on a lot of weight :/

I hope everyone is doing well.
