    Thanks Hoof.

My brain had turned to treacle by that stage, and it was oozing out my tear ducts, fudging up my eyes.

Great idea for a thread, I myself was diagnosed with Dysthymia a few years ago. Having activities like working on my ute and tinkering in the shed keep me sane haha.
Dysthymia comes from the Greek word for bad state of mind, it's like a mild, long lasting depression. In a more basic sense, my brain is essentially wired to see more of the negative side of things in life.

I'm also predisposed to something called, 'double depression' which is a bout of depression on top of the depression that comes with Dystymia, a quite scary thought really, I don't want to know what that's like haha.

I'm so happy I had a good support network in my wife and family, it's good to have support and no one will judge you for saying 'hey, im not doing very well', I wish I realised that earlier!

I have suffered an extreme anxiety disorder for 27 odd years. AVF is a place for sanity and insanity (in a good way) for me.
