While were celebrating guitarists, lets not forget D ick (because apparently you can post **** on here) Dale...the man responsible (by blowing up all the low wattage amps Leo Fender was making at the time) for high wattage amps. Leo built him his own amp, The Showmaster, and suddenly things got very loud...youre welcome Marshall....

Theres no end to the genius of the Beck

You'd prolly enjoy the Jeff Beck Rock'n'Roll Party (Honoring Les Paul) DVD (i have it)

This is from that...doing Les Paul and Mary Fords How High The Moon, proper like, with Imelda singing to a multi track backing track of her own voice...like Mary Ford did
Id also point out that Jeff nails the guitar

This song was responsable for my first noise complaint years ago.
The cop knocked on my door told me to keep it down then went next door to complainer and said "what the Fk is wrong with you its ZZ top"

    Ahh The Reverend Billy Gibbons

I was going to post this anyways, but the Reverend ties in nicely, because my next guest, as the folklore goes, was the reason why the Reverend stopped sharing the stage and getting into solo swaps with other guitar players for several decades after playing once with our next guest...

And so, of course, its Stevie Ray..as ive prolly mentioned before the very first SRV track i heard was the studio recording of this (whacked the CD in and random played it)...never heard an amp so near failure, i reckon it needed an overhaul after he caned it on that recording. Anyways this is a live version of that track. I like the vocal lead in to the solo "im gonna do something wrong"..yes Stevie=, once again youre going to make most every guitar player on the planet feel inferior. I remember the first time i put the DVD of this on with my sister (who shares the same tastes in music)...mid solo shes like "thats the way i always like to play it"

Theres finesse and brute force...ladies and gentleman, brute force...

You have a commoners musical palette, obviously <insert snort of derision>

Those who play appreciate things like that, you heathen

Those who play, play. Those who don't hide their inadequacy behind too many strings.

    Overcompensating with scale length...

Besides bass players have been redundant in modern music for decades, literally everyone knows their only function in a band is to throw under the bus when you inevitably get busted for cocaine possession...
