    Sleep? What's that?

I have been trying to sleep for hours. Grrr nothing works. Someone's had some sort of generator running all night and there's this incessant humming noise from it, that is really annoying when I lay down my head.

Then Cooking Fat, my dear darling furball of a cat has been imitating a yo-yo all night. Scratch at the door to go out, Bang on the screen door to come in. Think I should give up trying to sleep since It's now 6 Wednesday morning.

I figured this was the best place to put this thread, tell me if I'm wrong.

So, anyone else having/had a sleepless night?

    rofl, im up every night.
I enjoy the peace and quiet, nothing in this world will ever top the 3/4am coffee and vape.

On the other end of the spectrum,
Id make a bad parent if only for the reason im used to sleeping to the background noise of you silly day walkers
short of bomb going off, y'all are not waking me up

I did night work for over a decade, could sleep through anything during the day. It's only if it's really noisy at night do I have issues falling asleep. Sometimes I miss being on Vampire time.

I sleep a lot better since I gave up smoking. Probably being able to breathe properly has something to do with that.

If sleep is still illusive I have a lot of music on this tablet. Head/Ear phones block out any noise and anything melodic works like self hypnosis for a very natural sleep.

I'm a light sleeper. Someone tip toeing around the house wakes me up.
Now I use a white noise machine. I wont post a link cause I don't know if it's allowed.
Don't ask me why but the consistent noise blocks out people talking , walking around, dogs barking etc.
    Best money I ever spent.

I was up all night studying the effects, different resonant frequencies have on the behaviour of domestic animals.
