    Musicians come forth!

    Hiya,

I (try) to play bass guitar. I've got a 4 string MiM P Bass Black with White (now stickerbombed) pickguard.

I also have a Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop Pro in Boubon Burst. I can play any song on it as long as it's just power chords.

I'll try to get some pictures.

    Anyone play in a band?

My favourite band was Green Day but only while they were still 'punk' - everything from 1039 slappy hours to nimrod. Everything after nimrod was a bit shit. I love Robert Trujillo he's a bass machine... I also love the aussie girl Tal Wilkenfeld.

I'm a musician, used to be pro. Then I was a sound engineer for years making music for TV and film, radio ads on the side. Now I teach my kids how to play instruments, that's far more satisfying for me.

    Bass?

    I'll just leave this here:

John playing Johny B Goode LOL

He was one of the first to use the bass as more than just a rhythm instrument in rock I think. He's uncharacteristically emotive in this clip; actually moves his eyebrows LOL.

    Love entwhistle.

Prior to him, even McCartney's walking bass in the absence of 6 string over it was pretty out there.

    Dusty unloved 6 string.

    Occasionally played unplugged bass.

    Fingers were invented before picks.

I was ok at 15 y/o... Atrocious now

Since youre actually going to allow talk of bass players (usually this would kill a muso thread)

Im just going to say Nathan East (long time (20+ years) Clapton band member most identifiably), session muso for many, including recently, but not especially Daft Punk (if youre into that kind of thing) and one of the happiest cats you could ever want to work with

Hard to pick a clip, id normally play the 24 nights version of Layla, where he plays a great intro, but this is more fun

He seems to have done alright for himself....

Can't embed this on tapa. But Keith Richards, Lennon, Clapton, and Mitchell (hendrix experience)

They only did a few shows for tv

There you go, fixed it for you Doggie

Slightly under protest, i will not watch anything with Lennon/MCartney in it (not even for Eric). George and Ringo yes...
