Erected a new painting in the lounge room, relocating my NBN modem at the same time ... and upgraded my internet plan from unlimited download, 23Mbps average speed to unlimited download, 43Mbps average speed for ... $0 extra a month

Put a lock on the meter box to slow down some fool who thinks it's funny to play with my circuit breakers.

And had a play with a jigsaw PIF'd to me from Doc.

There was a fair bit of s#it in between, but they were the highlights.

Took the Elise for a long overdue drive today. Twisty and undulating Apollo Rd to Honeysuckle creek where there was once a tracking station with a big dish used in the first moon landing.

I've been with internode for quite a while (since the days of ADSL 2+) and upgraded to their NBN Bronze plan when the NBN became available here. That was a 25Mbps service, but my grandson told me that I can get Silver (50Mbps) for 0$ as he had just done it, so I upgraded. It'll kick in on 5th Feb

When i was working complaints at telstra, you have no idea how many times i heard that exact statement.
In fact just reading it i uttered the canned response to an empty room.
"We at telstra are sorry you were mislead by your son and we urge you to read all terms and conditions carefully before agreeing to it".

    Loose translation
"We would like to help but now we have your signature its time for some BDSM and we are not buying you dinner first.... Assume the position BYOL (Lube)."

Ha ha ha ... but it is a no-cost upgrade to a faster service (and from their stats, it averages 43Mbps). We'll see
