What did you achieve today ?

Today I went bush and felled a nice jarrah tree for firewood, last time a few weeks ago I smashed my new chainsaw when the tree fell on it lol. Today went really well and I ended up with 20 nice rounds of high quality firewood, almost a ton I reckon and I had to wheelbarrow each piece 100 meters through the bush two at a time with each round weighing 40 odd kilos. That's a lot of hard work on a Saturday and I'm feeling it now but well worth the effort.

Cutting jarrah with a Chinese chainsaw would be slow going but you have some decent firewood, I cut and hand split about 4 ton a year.
    Free heating and good exercise

I did the firewood thing for my kids the other day on their new property. They have their own sugar gum plantation...... Grrrrrrrr.

Apple Gum is worse, it just won't burn. Found that out the hard way in Queensland year's ago, made me very angry lol.

The thought crossed my mind it would be a beautiful finish and nice and solid, I'll have to do a bit better than just think about I reckon.
