I think my letter came in, will have to pick it up from my box.

    What's you're thoughts on this?

How do you think this will turn out?

I personally will be voting yes.
But my thoughts are that a no will be passed due to the same reson the republic vote did not pass. Due to a aging population and im pretty sure I know where most of those votes will be going. I hope im wrong but these are my thoughts.

Keeping it nice. Yes. Respectful. Yes!
It won't make any negative impact to my life so, yes X. Married to a girly and have kids and totally loved the journey. quick btw. No plebiscite, survey. They could have rang everyone and asked. Be cheaper.

That's why they pushed it off onto the Australian public. Better to spend a few million of our bucks and get the answer they expect, than stick their neck out and get the blame...

Of course, as pointed out with Trump/Brexit you don't always get what you expect.

Tick YES tick - no vested interest just a desire for fairness and justice - respect... well that is more tricky !

an interesting article about how and why John Howard decided in 2004 to change the Marriage Act, with no plebiscite, no postal survey - Why exactly did Howard change the Marriage Act when he did? | Jacqui Tomlins

I would like to think that in 2017, times have changed and SSM will be passed by the Parliament - but even if a resounding Yes is returned by the unnecessary and non binding postal survey, interesting times as to how they enact this in the Parliament !
