Probably, maybe a fair assessment, but this time of the year is traditionally quiet too

I was supposed to be towing my vessel to Mallacoota tomorrow, all paid for & booked, but, a glitch. Damn newish cars with computers and modules. Gone are the days where you can wire up a trailer plug on your own with naught but a little know how and pliers etc. The module has carked and I have no idea if there's one within a 200km radius of me & I can't cheat by bridging it. Wreckers this morning within a 2 hour drive all said nope to having one! As if there hasn't been an Aurion with a towbar bingled at the back end. Looks like Tuesday maybe now. (Sooks & Blubbers)

Sounds like a piss-poor design if it can't handle one extra set of bulbs. Maybe low power LED's would have worked?

Hope the modules are stocked in OZ somewhere...

na a lot of these new pansy 4wds designed for weekend warriors have chips in them with a locked towing profile.
Your supposed to go to a dealer and pay out the ass to have it enabled and calibrated to your load while they try to upsell you better shocks you wont need.

Its meant to stop them idiots chucking a 2T boat on the rear end of their Rav 4 claiming warranty after shredding the gearbox.

EDIT: coincidentally ebay has them module packs

if you going to be pulling serious loads, you can pick up a ex Mine site Land Cruiser or Hilux fairly cheap from Auctions when they replace their fleets.
The site grease monkeys keep them in good shape cause they never know when the suits will do a site inspection.

If you want bargin cheap 2000ish Suzuki grand vitara you can find for around 5-6k. 2.5L V6 rated to tow around 1.8-2T.
It also has a proper 4wd low range gearbox for those uphill battles
