    Which concentrates do you hate?

    Hey folks,
Just wondering what your "dud concentrates" are?
I've got a few just off the top of my head. .

    FW- banana nut bread.
Tastes brilliant but its nearly black and destroys coils in under a day.

    Flavorah- blueberry
Over concentrated, tried at all percentages and it just rips through rough as guts

    FW- creamy soda
    Rough as guts, rank flavour

    FW- dutch apple pie
    Chemical tasting nightmare

Think there's a few more loitering in my diy cupboard but they're the ones that come to mind!
By the way if you've had success with these flavours would love to hear your recipe!

Try giving the "FW- dutch apple pie" two weeks to steep.
Chemical taste usually disappears after that.

I've never had much luck with TFA raspberry. Everything I try comes out like a bad candy.

And yes, taste is subjective, but that goes triple for concentrates. Knowing how to get the best out of a concentrate is 90% of DIY. (or having a good tried and tested recipe).

I'm actually with you on that one, when used as a single note flavour. Most fruit type flavours really need to be used in conjunction with some combination of sweet, tart, bakery, or as an adjunct flavour. You have to try the fruit flavour on it's own to learn about it, but they all need something else to make them work. Just boring otherwise.

Agree.. I use fruits only as a background flavour. Full fruit mixes do not appeal to me.
I make a pretty good tuty fruity but that's just for my sister inlaw, she thinks it's the bee's knees!

Have to give that some thought, the last time i used it the taste was so bad I'm really put off by it. 4 week steep too!

That stuff smells like its going to be a winner but i find it didn't translate well to flavor. I have hope for it though.

I recently purchased some Strawberry Kiwi which I thought would be great.

It tasted like an old coconut tanning lotion we used at the beach years ago, really feral.

I have almost 10mls of it here stinking at me.
