    Weird observation/advice needed...

So... I work in an allied health services occupation which often makes me go 6+ hours at a time with no potential to have a vape...

I'm finding that my nicotine receptors seem to be on the blink. When I have long periods of abstinence, my body craves it... but when I finally get the chance to vape, the nicotine is having pronounced effects. Tinnitus roars after a couple of puffs... too many puffs and I feel light headed. And yet, I crave it.

I've tried increasing the nicotine level in juices to get that instant gratification. Too harsh. I've tried reducing it. That leads to chain vaping without satiation.

4mg/ml seems the correct level... but I don't get enough vapour in during a given day to be satisfied. When I do have the opportunity, I vape heavy and get minor OD symptoms.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've even tried totally giving up on the nicotine... but my body says no thanks.

I'm in a similar situation in that I can't vape for up to 12 hours when I'm on shift as tobacco products are contraband where I work. I do find myself craving nicotine throughout the day from time to time but I've managed to overcome that. Fortunately I don't have the issue of overdosing when I do chain vape on the way home. I only vape 3mg and can vape without nic for most of a day without craving. When I first was faced with this dilemma, I would either use traditional NRT or take some juice and just drop it in coffee or tea. It wasn't pleasant (I was on 18mg at the time) but it was tolerable. I found the gum to be the best solution as I would find a craving building and then chew a piece and get some relief. Once out of work I'd get stuck back into vaping ASAP and I didn't need to murder.

TL;DR try NRT gum to keep your nic levels constant while unable to vape

Considering you tried increasing mg/ml but it was too harsh, I'm wondering if you've tried a CA nic solution? I made a test batch the other week of 24mg, and it definitely gives some instantaneous gratification.

How does one make such things? I don't want to spend good money on NRT.
Could I make up some 10mg/ml and drop it onto peppermints or something?

chocolates are simple, just melt and add nicotine

RATM makes lozenges, i think a google hard lolly recipe with some nic substituting a liquid component would work

or christianR microwaved some... butter menthol, i think... added nic while soft and set

Citric acid added to your usual nic. I could find a link for you if I knew what I was doing. All the info is here in AVF.
