Funny you should say. Just finished rewicking mine with 3mm, but I did file it out a little more. I've used 2.5 if you want it to fit as is. Have some 1mm I'm going to try a multi strand, but haven't yet. Using a 6/5 wrap 32 nichrome comes out at 1.6ohms. Now I like Nova's I didn't with the standard wick.

I use 3mm Silca with 32amg kanthal but I'll be going a little thinner with the Silca next time. I'd say 2mm would be perfect.

Check out Pete pseurdos rebuild nova video. It's very easy to do

I completely endorse having a go at recoiliing and wicking a Vivi Nova.
    I've used multiple strands of 1mm and 1 2.5mm, along with 30, 32 and 34 gauge wire.
All work better than standard, my favourite is 32gauge and 2.5mm torched, washed and tickled.

Easy to do after the first time, pretty quick too.

I've always done a double 2.5 wick. It is a piece of piss once you done it a couple of times or even once.
Move along!!! Nothing to see here.
