so decided to do some battery shopping

    bought some ultrafire 18650s, 18500s and 18350s

all of them have above 4volts.

NONE of them work. not a single one. what in the hell!?

If they are showing 4 volts they are working?? What are you using them with and are they protected??

I tried some UltraFire batteries in an Apex Alpha and it ran like utter crap. Swap back to "AW"s from and she vapes like a champ again.

Without any technical knowledge to back this up, I'd say avoid too.

AWs have higher C ratings than ultrafires, they output more amps.
I use protected batts but they dont output as much amps as the AW.
on the pro side, the protected batteries last much longer, 1100mAh.

I dont have any experience of the mods in question, but the fact they are showing a reasonable charge and wont fire, to me indicates a connectivity problem. I am assuming that there is a common bottom cap that is used on the tube extensions??? Try a little stretch of the spring or a small spacer. The battery is going all the way in the tube??

Does the mod still work with your old battery??

yeah they fire perfectly with other batteries. and its a very tight fit in the tube for all the ultrafires, so its definitely a complete circuit.

I am always suspicious of tight battery's in the tube. Anyway of confirming that they are sitting up to the nipple in the mod??
