    coil wick

    Have had me zen set up for a few days and have notice some black ash looking stuff in the tank it of the wick i guess is that normal?

    You may have over heated your mesh and made it brittle.
    Stainless steel mesh is very fine and when you heat it to oxidise it you are putting a coating on it.
    The ash is probably some of the coating coming off in the tank.
    I'm no expect, it's just an idea.

    It its pre made wick so would u say its nothing to worry bout or should i clean it out and use a new wick.

    Could be ash/crud build up from your juice too, some juices can really gunk up a wick around the coil. What juice are you vaping?

    I wouldn't worry about it.
    The juice does flow back down through the wick as well as up.
    That's why your juice changes colour too.
    If it is worrying you just flush it with some water when you finish the tank of juice.
    When you flush the tank hold the atomiser upside down and let the juice flow from the tank through the wick and hopefully it will help get rid of the black bits you are talking about.
    If you let the water drip onto some paper towel you will be able to see when the black bits stop.
    If you can't flush them out just try and suck them up with a syringe when you have some water in the tank.
