    CVI and 18650

    Trying to run my cvi with a trustfire 4000mah 18650 it fires fine but as soon as i change to voltage it stops working and ive tried it with a vivi, ct, stardusts and comets and will vape at 3v on startup but as soon as i change it wont work?????? any thoughts

    Gday Iz ... I would be suspecting the battery ? trustfires arent exactly known as quality cells , the fact its supposedly 4000 mA , when even Panasonic can only fit 3400mA into their BEST current cells always makes me laugh a bit !
    It could be that during start-up if you are trying to pull more than 3V ( which is probably a good few amps at start up ) out of it , the circuitry of the CVI is trying to pull more current than the battery is happy to supply , therefore it wavers and the protection in the CVI kicks in .... do you have a better 18650 to try in it ?
    Make sure all the connectors are clean , on the battery and the device ?

    sounds like similar issue I was having with vamo. was tying to use trustfire on it and any voltage higher than 3.2 vamo would switch itself off. complaining on ecf and was told was lucky the worst thing happened was switching the mod off and stop using trustfire crap. never go near them anymore ever since
