Why do my Smok RSST coils keep blowing?

    As per the title.

Seems to blow very quickly either at the top post or bottom screw. Why?

Are you checking for hot spots? You need an even gap between the coils so they glow evenly

First clean atomizer. There may be metal shavings. Secondly what is your coil setup? Thirdly when testing the coils don't use a fresh battery. Too much volts can blow it if it's a low ohm coil

It's a short when it blows at the top post. Real short pulses with your eye on the top of the coil to start with I find helps.

Hokay, non technically, how do I see a hotspot ?

I actually already have the tank filled with juice and I am using a hybrid silica/mesh wick. About two wraps of #400 mesh around some 2.5mm silica wick approx 3 coils of .16mm nichrome.

If I fire I can see both the top and bottom of the coil at the post ends got orange.

    Coils are definitely seperated .

Sometimes it will work for a little while then blow.
