AMP Tank O-rings - swap em out.

Ah, the AMP Tank. For a few weeks I couldn't decide if it was the best thing since game of thrones or the biggest piece of shit ever made.

Leaking out the Carb hole. Fair enough, I flooded the Atty, gravity works, no big deal. Dry hits - my fault, needs a quick manual pull, not a deal breaker. But leaking out the o-rings, wobbling around like a drunk teenager in heels at a deb ball, and falling apart when you refill it - screw you avid vaper!

So I took matters into my own hands and swapped out the top and bottom o-rings with some spares I had for the ZAP and it is night and day. It now feels solid, and since this thing relies on a vacuum to work it kind of makes sense to er, create a vacuum by stopping air leaks.

I understand why they chose small orings, but its a massive fail from a design standpoint. $10 says that v2 will have ones that actually work.

Anyway, a 50 cent modification to this $140 device turns it from shit to gold. Just don't go too big or you could crack the glass.

I'm going to try an AMP one day, and I'll remember this wisdom when I do, thanks.

Not exactly sure Simon, I'm guessing 22mm but you may have to use trial and error. Don't go too big or you might crack the glass

Edit - this thread has some links to Orings sources
