    Question Xc-116/132

Did anyone try the XC-116 Ceramic Rope Wick yet?

    XC-116 Ceramic Wick - 12" Heat Cleaned

I was curious what people thought about flavor and wicking.

    Thoughts?

I guess that you will not be a fan of a churchwarden pipe... Is OK there are people out there that love long mouthpieces and straight pipes. I am trying to offer a choice to pipe lovers. Pipes are like cars some love sport cars some love big old floating luxury cars. there is no wrong or right is just a matter of individual taste.

I'm using some in an IGO-L at the moment. Can't offer a comparison to silica as I've not used it. But no problems at all with wicking or flavour. Quick rinse and dry burn and ready for a complete change of flavour as well.

Don't think you can get it shipped. Alegria would know more. I only have some as a 'sample'.....

Unfortunately it is not currently available outside the US.

It's some US department of defence technology which is banned from all export.

There are ways around it of course but you need to have friends overseas.

Fantastic stuff though - clean flavour - no wicking issues and best of all - once you torch it it is as good as new. A small piece will last you months.
