they slide over the top of 510 dripping atomisers like these 510 VKS SS Atomizer and when you drip in the top of the 510 atomiser, if you over drip they stop juice flowing out the air holes and down the side of your mod

WTF is it supposed to do?

I have an iGo-W dripper and if I over drip I just get a few overly moist hits, no leakage as such.

i dripped almost 100% for the first year of vaping, and never used a drip shield on a 510 atomiser as you soon learn to not over drip anyway, and i rarely had juice leaks. If you get to the stage you need a drip shield you would have flooded the atty and have a bad vape anyway. But some people like them, or DCT's etc

only time i used a drip shield was when i had a vv mod that could get juice inside the electricals and stuff it up, so i used a dripshield to be carefull
