    agi rebuildable

is there a way to build a 1.5 coil using .28 kathal with an agi rebuildable?
is it just test wraps and try and get it or is there a trick where i can get a higher reading than what im getting?
my friend bought this unit yesterday, and it came with .16 kanthal
he tried pulsing this but im not sure if u pulse a kanthal so low, and on 95% of attempts the kanthal breaks
when trying to build a coil with .28 we cant get a reading higher than 0.9 ohm
he wants to be able to use this on his svd, any ideas on how we can do this?

Increasing resistance is simply a matter of adding more coils. If you are using 3 or 4 loops try 5 or 6. Make sense?

Don't think it will work. The exposed mesh for coil is ver short on agi. I'm using 5/6 wrap with 28g and getting 1.1. You'll need more wraps to hit 1.5

How are you testing your coils? Voltmeter, VV device? It is impossible not to increase resistance by adding wire. Maybe whatever you are using to test with is no good.

Obviously you art shorting somewhere. Your coils touching? Your mesh touching anything?

Definitely sounds like the coil shorting against the wick somewhere. About half way through your coil if your getting half the reading expected.
