Lightbulb Ithaka clone Magoo by VapingMad

    Hi all

starting thred on Magoo for everyone to share they opinions suggestion on this clone

    I have it for 24 hours ,
looks good no problems there firstly vaped really well then started flooding

checked some ' how to ' videos on Ithaka , especially filling with juice - chimney closed then up side down etc.
pulled apart tank, reassembled the thing looked all good but
still floods, except filling less then half of juice just to cover clear section of it

any of your guys have issues with this tank so far ?

    cheers

Hey, have a look at how the sleeve over the wick/coil section fits, in particular the holes. I found if they are directly over the wicks it will flood too easily, otherwise have them off to the side, and then use the juice adjustment from the chimney only. I re-wrapped another coil today too - single, 1.5 ohm, hitting beautifully on the Provari at 4.2V.

Certainly learning more by playing with it

glad yours works well with your new build
I'll pull it apart tomorrow and off set those holes your were talking about

and was your new build single or double coil ?
    cheers

Finally after watching many vids on the ithaka and how to twist wires, I got a dual coil working on the magoo and this thing is sizzling so hard I can fry an egg on it!!

Wow awesome flavor, its tasting so much nicer and hate to say this but think my kayfun is going to rest. For now anyway.

    hi all
    my second take on Magoo
pulled tank apart washed and dried again, as Jonno suggested
I off seated those liquid feed hole on inner ring
seems to work file this time

    another observation is,

when you filled up the tank and start your vape session
afrer say 20 plumes, vaporised liquid creates sub pressure inside you tank
if you want full liquid flow you need to equalise sub presser already building in you tank

as you unscrew top ring slightly notice small air bubbles coming up from bottom of the tank
ones stopped you'll get thicker plumes - more juice saturating dual wick set-up
watched closely ones done, saddenly more vapor production

edit: I'll keep you poster on how it performs over the time

    hope it helps
    and
    have a great Sunday vapers

    cheers

    hi all
    update

I given the Magoo 2 weeks run and things improved
    pretty happy with my tank
vapor production very good taste very good also

I build new dual coil set-up using 32 Khantal res&silver wire twisting method with 2.5 mm silica wick
after watching numerous YouTube tutorials how to build Ithaka dual coils
I included 'separator wick' between crossed coils configuration and,
cut off extending out a bit more than suggested say 3 mm
    my meter reads 1.1 Ohm
auto feed openings-holes on inner ring closed
chimney screws on no probs at all and is leak proof all the time
    some other observations

if fully tanked works best quarter turn open
as juice dissipates half turn open is what I need
    do your W-B-B wash-boil-burn every 2 days
and you'll be happy with it

    verdict:

    hassle free easy maintenance
building coils is not as difficult as it may look and
tank itself has no miniature parts so handling it much easier than
    some VIVI coils
even by fat or clumsy fingers

for 50$ price it is good item good vapor production and taste

in my vaping experience, only drip tank bits it on taste
hope it helps in choosing your new tank system

    regards
