It would bugger it, that's why you set it up on a protected device. I recommend the innokin vv3.0

i've heard reports about cotton having a taste to it...are you guys boiling the cotton before use? how do you prepare the cotton?

i'm sure i remember riptrippers recommending boiling cotton or using the sterile stuff.

glad it's working for you guys

pretty sure saxien is right, twists have short circuit protection

I boiled the cotton balls for 15 mins, then rinsed and boiled again for another 15 just to be on the safe side.
It took about 24-30 hours for them to completely dry out on a paper towel.

There were the Swisspers cotton balls you can buy at chemists, Coles, Wollies, etc.

The flavour is excellent, not tasting anything but pure juice flavour.

I havnt had any issues with taste at all, I think the flavour is improved.
A few things ive noticed with the mircos is way less maintence then standard coils , I used to have to dry burn and clean out standard ones quite a bit but the mircos not at all, the only time ive been dry burning is if I remove the cotton to change the flavour in the clearo.
Sometimes it seems the cotton gets to saturated or something, maybe ive disturbed it or something, but after maybe a week and I started getting some leaking issues but its only happened to two out of 6 evods and after I replaced the cotton no more problems. Keep in mind ive also been running no rubber gromet at all and have had no other issues.

I tried cotton, but one bad burnt taste of cotton has put me off it for good.
Leaves a nasty taste that lingers for long time.
Currently loving CERAMIC rope xc-116 from SNG Vapor.
    12 wrap microcoil (30ga) = 1.9 ohms.
No flavour wicks required. No leaking.
    This stuff's great.

Currently on day 4 of coil.
Not sure how I should clean it once it gunks up?
    Water/vodka/dry burn?

I've only just watched RiP trippers video and was intending to post a link when I found this thread.

The organic juice I'm using is continually rendering my coils unusable in less than 24 hrs. I need to replace the coils far too often and was looking for a better approach than simply buying more coils.

Where in Australia do we buy the necessary components in Rip Tripper's solution.....I need a shopping list and potential suppliers of suitable stainless steel wire and organic cotton, etc.

This sounds good. Could you provide some links to the suppliers?

Ain't it lovely? 12 wraps of 28 gauge, 2.0-2.1ohms cranked to 4.8volts on my Ego Twist.

Rewrapped it with 9 wraps of 32 gauge, 1.5ohms fires up instantly at 4.8volts. The 28 gauge takes like a good 2 seconds to start crackling. The 32 gauge performs MUCH better at 4.8 volts; heats up much faster, WAY more throat hit, eh flavours about the same if not less, more cloud and you can REALLY taste your sweetener, never knew how sweet my juices were, only put like 4 or 5 drops in 10mLs...

Edit: I put it on my Ego Twist cause I don't really like lugging around my Vamo V4 out and about, it's more of a 'kick back, this that' device, and the Mini Protank with the premade coils was just not up to par with cotton.
