    zap questions

    Just got my modified zap.

    Filled with juice. It's crap So how do i get it out?

    Also, my wick looks burnt. Silica- do i need to change it?

    Stupid questions i know. Sorry :-)

    syringe through the fill hole.
    you sure its silica and not mesh?

    It's silica but it's not burnt don't worry, it can get a brown tint around the coil without being damaged, alot of people torch their silica.

    Take the top O ring off and slide the tank off, you can leave the wick and coil in, give it a good rinse let it dry a bit and then give it a dry burn until no more steam comes off, put the tank back on and you're good to go again.

    You can do that but I always found that such a pain with the ZAP, the tank is seriously tight on the o rings, when you finally pull it free you have to hold on really tight because your arm will go flying back with the pressure release.

    I tend to twist and pull on the quartz section while holding the base.

    Yeah serious tight on the orings .
    Just look like it was burning when i fired it with no cap on.lol

    Juice is crap, not the zap

    Sometimes with the zap if you bump the coil putting the lid on the coil will be damaged and begin to short or have hotspots

    Try an SS mesh wick as well. Gennies weren't really designed to be used with silica. Yeah it works, but it's a lot of fiddling around especially when you're new to the game.
