    Centre Post in IGO-W

    hi Guys,

Just a question. It may sound stupid but I'd still like to know as part of RBA learning. What is the peice of silicon beneath the centre post (positive post) at the base (see picture attached)? Is it replaceable? How frequent and where can I buy one?

    Cheers

Wouldn't it will shrink over time and require a replacement to avoid leaking?
I am not sure about this so I am trying to get right answer from everybody.

Not necessarily. Do fake tits shrink over time? Seriously, I wouldn't know, but silicon is used to seal things the world over so I imagine one of it's properties would be that it keeps it's place.

At any rate the AGA T comes with a spare insulator so maybe the IGO W has one too?

    Don't worry about it.

For all intents and purposes its not a serviceable part. It is insulating the positive post from the deck which is attached to the negative posts. It shouldn't burn, shrink or leak and if it does it's probably time for a replacement igo-W

I have seen them sometime stick up a bit higher than they should, poke em back down so they are flush with the deck if you feel the need.

I think mine did actually, but I take the view that if it's working reliably dont mess with it
