Lightbulb Joining wires for Ithaka copies

    G'day crew,

In the past 4 months I have moved on from cigalikes (damn garbage) to clearo thingos and rebuildables, I've been using AGA-T2s (got two of em) for a while now. I recently got my mits on an Ithaka copy and (as fiddly as the fker is) has become my first choice. While learning to use the ankle I remembered a know I used to use to join wires under tension a lifetime ago.

I tried to get a photo but it isnt my strong point so I found this one online.

What I found is that by keeping the silver wire lose I can adjust the length of the resistance wire to get what I'm after, once the knot is snugged tight the tags can be folded back for a neat join. Hope this helps others with joining the wires.

Nice idea, Drisy was going to be looking into a wire joiner dohicky-thingy, its just to much faffing around (for me), the silica on the Kayfun works, going to buy a third (and spares) on the next run, I had a play with a real Ithaka, brilliant device, excellent vape, but the effort is required to get them running though,

Nice, when I started on Gennie's I literally implanted one in the wall, now Ive run the gunlet (excluding resistance/no resistance) and in the end I'll stick to Kayfuns and mesh wicks, they work and unless something 'new" comes along to distract my shallow RAAFie attention span, I'm happy,,,,for now.

And thats why I joined the RAAF, the Navy and the addiction to knotting bits of rope was down right scary,,,,HMAS CERBERUS was a weird place,,

Pretty good method for joining silver wire.

BTW. the zappers are completely useless with silver wire.

Edit: The wire labelled as Nickel in the first pic is Kanthal.
