    SmokTech SID problems

Anyone experienced problems with their SID? Mine works now and then, I use an iClear30 but it no longer works with this. It powers up, I can change all the settings in the menu but nothing else. Have swapped iClear's and tried some vivi nova minis but same result so I suspect it's not making contact with centre pin. It started a few weeks ago when it kept giving me Lo vol message now and then so I tried heaps of different batteries but no luck? The other SID just keeps throwing Lo vol messages and then shuts off? Both were good, so wondering if the control head can be replaced or maybe there is a fix for it ??

Get some tweezers or a small screwdriver & gently try lifting the center pin in the 510 connector or try pulling the center pin out a little on your iClear30.

It is good. Sounds like the op has screwed his tanks down too tight and pushed the centre pin down.

Yes I think that is what she has done! Some of the iClears were dodgy and kept wobbling so just tightened them a bit more...bad move should have ditched them!
