    Contact / Micro coil diameter.

I've been playing around with the diameter of my contact coils a bit of late. I was wondering about there peoples experiences with differing diameter coils.

I hear a lot of people using a needle tip to wrap them. To me this seams a little small to give good amounts of juice ready to vaporise. I started using a 1.5 mm drill bit and have recently moved on to a 2mm drill bit. I'm finding the 2mm coil gives out more vapour and has less issues with staying wet, especially with long chain vapes.

With my last coil I even went from 0.8ohm to 1.2ohm to add more surface area to the coil (Running on a mech). The vape is a little cooler but vapour production is still there.

Just my observations and as I said I'm interested to hear some other options on the topic.

I usually stick to 2.0mm and find it gives the best performance.

Same experience here, found 2mm to works best to keep up with my chain vaping.

Same here. 2mm gives me the best amount of wick, especially for the kayfun.

Been using the smallest phillips head screwdriver I've got, #0, Same diameter as a bamboo skewer but easier to hold (broke all my 2mm drill bits ages ago), eyeballing on a ruler looks about 2 and a bit mm

Not all (as in I'm currently not, and I'm coiling on a 2mm drill and aiming for around 1.7Ω)

In the Kayfun's I have been using an 18g needle and inserting the wick through the coil and then wrapping each tail back around the coil before going down into the juicy area. So basically you end up with wick through the coil and also touching each side of the coil.
