    Rave Wick n Wire?

Anybody use Rave Wick and Wire? Got some from the Steamers the other day, wick looks like 2mm, not sure what gauge the wire is but it's round, not flat. The wick is really nice but I'm having a little trouble with the wire, seems every coil I make is coming out between 0.3 and 0.6 ohms, which I'm fairly certain the Vamo won't handle? I'm just wrapping them, 3 strands of wick, no micro coils or anything, the loops are close but not touching, but the highest I've been able to get was 0.7 and that was with 12 wraps which is pretty hard for my fat fingers to position easily in the dripper Am I doing something wrong? Have I picked up wire that's more suited to sub-ohm builds? I'm still new to rebuildables, but the dripper is all I ever use at home and regular kanthal works fine for me.

Really like the Rave wick though, tastes clean, braided well and doesn't leave fluffy crap all over the place

Does seem to be thicker than my 30g actually. Never noticed before. It's a bit softer though, more flexible.

Thanks for that Duke, think I'll stick with the 30 until i have the gear and batts to handle lower ohms a little more gracefully!

I could make a new set of jump leads perhaps I do want to try sub-ohm vaping one day but not until I've got at least a decent mech mod and the right batteries, and have some clue about what I'm doing!

Just caught this thread & my initial reaction from reading the OP was that has to be 26G wire, I wasn't far wrong
You'll do better with 28G, maybe, 30G certainly.
Almost no VV/VW mod I know of will handle a coil below 1.2ohm, some can but they are the expensive higher end ones.
Mech mods handle thicker gauge wire better but be careful & use a multimeter on your build to ensure your not going to blow your face off
