    Intellicharger i2 Woes

    Help! My i2 won't charge!

It's only about 2 - 2 1/2 months old. It started intermittently about a week ago. I have 3 batteries between 2.7 and 3.0V according to my multimeter. When I insert a battery:-

    1. The bottom light lights
    2. All three lights come on and stay on
    3. The bottom light on the empty slot comes on
    4. All 3 lights on the empty slot come on
    5. All 3 lights on the empty slot go off.

And that's it! Nothing! All the lights on the slot with the battery in it stay on indefinitely. The same happens whichever slot I use, or if I fill both. The batteries don't show any damage to the contacts. I have tried unplugging the charger, leaving it for a while then plugging it back in........no change!

Any advice guys? Anyone have any similar dramas?

What batteries are you using, and why did you let them run so low? Got any other batteries to use and then test with?

I didn't realise that was "so low", I just pulled them out when the vape got poor!

    I don't know I reckon they're all the same.

As long as they're not dumb chargers then all good.

I'm using nitcores. Will probably pickup an LUC , soshine maybe an xtar or whatever it's called.

Haven't had any issues from the nitecores apart from an annoying buzz. I know noe says the intelli has a curve or something for 26650s but who uses those.

Yeah, under 3v is pretty dead, 2.7v might be irreversibly damaged and not take a charge any more.
    From efests own page:
"- Recharge empty batteries ( resting voltage ~3.6V ) as soon as possible. Leaving Li-Ion batteries in discharged state will incur irreversible damage ( capacity / cycle loss )"

I try charge mine when it drops to 3.5v minimum. Got to have a MM out and check every so often.

As far as chargers, I heard good things about pila and xtar. Couldn't find the pila here so I bought an xtar myself.

They don't (well mine doesn't natively). They come with 2 spacers though, which you screw in to charge 18350s. For some dumb reason 1 spacer is useless, you need to screw 2 together to charge 1 18350. No idea why they didn't make the spacers longer so you only need one per 18350.
So as it is, even with the two spacers supplied, you can only charge 1 18350 at a time.
You can buy extra spacers, but I found some PC mobo thumbscrews that fit, and screwed one into each spacer, doubling the length, so now I can charge 2 18350s at the same time.
