Please help me diagnose this problem...

I have a Reo Grand with a Kick 2 inside (AW 18490 battery) using the brass strip method to connect the Kick to the spring.

On top I am using a Cyclone bottom fed RBA.

This set up kicks arse when it is working, but my problem is it doesn't fire every time.

I am guessing the problem is the Kick2 but not too sure... Any ideas?

    Cheers.

Also forgot to mention, I have the Kick2 turned up to maximum wattage because thats the only way I can get a decent amount of vapour from it.

You sure the copper strip is hitting the top of the kick properly? Have you tried firing it with the door off? to see if it's making contact?

Yeah the mod I have done is a strip of brass from the pins on the side of the kick down to the Reos spring.

Also, I have tried using an 18650 without the Kick and it produces bugger all vapour but does seem to fire every time.

Put a bit of that nilox or whatever it's called on the firing strip that makes contact with the battery( the stuff that comes with the reo). You'll be surprised what that shit does for the reo.

I know when I was getting shit vape from the reo, I tried everything. Then I dab a bit of that stuff on and it was firing like brand new again. Check out silvercircus's guide to putting a copper firing pin in. Modded Reo Grand Beryllium Copper, Voltage drop majorly solved

Ok thanks, I will try the carbon grease stuff first. If that doesn't work I will look into the copper firing pin.

Jaycars carbon conductive grease does the same job as nolax on the reo, just give the pin a scrape with 800paper and put a smear on the pin, also take the spring out and give the screw a clean and put a little on that before putting it back in,I'm running a grand with cyclone and it blows clouds but you need to do this every month after a good bath
