    DNA20 battery life

Hey guys just been using the Nexgen Futura (DNA20 mod) with a few different size batteries. I am getting the check battery while firing while there is still 3.7 volts left in the battery. Is this normal? While firing it will cut in and out and say check battery. Any help would be great. By the way i am using and efest battery.

It will be less than that under load in service - it’s not doing any work being measured by your MM.

The DNA needs a battery with a minimum of 7A continuous output. So even with an AW 18490s (max 8.8A cont.) it may struggle occasionally. I wouldn't even bother with 18350.

Thanks for the info guys. I have been doing a bit of research and its all becoming clearer. Is there a "better" battery in regards to Amp continuous output that i should be looking at. I got about 2 hours out of the 18350 (which is pretty terrible). The Futura is a big device is all and i have been trying to keep it somewhat smaller for out and about.

At the 18490 level your only real options are the AW and Efest v2 batts. Up at 18650 you have a lot more options. I'd say one of the better ones would be the Panasonic NCR18650PD, which has a rating of 10A and 2900mAh (tested at ~2700mAh). Good output, good battery life.

But yeah, not so pocket friendly.

thanks for the heads up. Looking at MNKE batteries now. The furura in 18650 mode is a bloody joke though. Lol ill post pics of it in 18650 mode with a kayfun 3.1 on it.
