    NET coil/wick and device recommendations?

Could members vaping NET share their experiences regarding wick/coil and device recommendations/preferences?

Homemade dripping atty on an eGo 650mAh Upgrade battery, running in unregulated mode. The atty is based on an EVOD/ProTank replaceable coil, which I usually rebuild as a 1.7 ohm contact coil. The wick is a 70% bamboo 30% cotton yarn from Spotlight.

I rewick every day, and dry burn and then boil the coil unit to remove residue. Under these circumstances, a coil lasts about 14 days before it's performance drops enough to warrant a recoil.

    Enough info?

Rewicking each day seems mandatory for most NET, but for some particular liquids I find myself rewicking, washing and dry burning (blow torch) three times per 1.5ml tank. HOL Eden, for example is very wick friendly and can work flawlessly for days on end, whereas Guevara or Perique can kill a wick in a very short period of time and there is an early impact on overall flavour prior to wick failure.

I normally use regulated mode on an eGo 650mAh as the initial higher voltages of unregulated mode tend to 'toast' the juice in a tank based system using Sophia atomisers (ceramic cup and silica coil)......at least, that's my experience.

What is your preparation method for the bamboo/cotton yarn? Do you boil it before use, etc?

No, nothing at all. Oh, and I can get away with rewicking every second day, it's just optimal every day.

I found with my eBaron dripper, I'd have to torch the ceramic/coil assembly every second day but I could still run voltage unregulated, so maybe the Sophia isn't wicking properly?

I never had luck with my Diver v1 and any of my juice, might have been the VG though.

As an NET whore, I replace my wicks and dry burn my coils daily.

I have one juice that I absolutely MUST vape out of a carto, and my cartos usually last around 3-5 days before tasting too terrible to go on.

The rest I vape in my reo with a cyclone bottom feed RBA or my Russian 91% on either my Viggo mech or Provari.

My favourite wicking material is cotton. I use both organic cotton balls I found at a random healthfood place, and some sterile cotton I got from VaperSphere. I prefer the stuff from VaperSphere.
Combine the cotton with a nice 1.2.-1.7 ohm contact/micro coil and you are in heaven.

Need to waddle down to Spotlight and pick up some of that bamboo cotton blend yarn GT has.

In my opinion cotton+micro/contact coils are the best thing ever when playing with RBA. It makes rewicking and freshening up an atomizer so much easier and the flavour+vapour is astoundingly satisfying.
