    eVic Supreme 30 W

Not sure if this is old news to people here, but I was browsing the Joyetech site and saw they have a new eVic, the Supreme, boasting 30 W.

As per the standard eVic, this comes with some electronic wiz-bangery (is that even a word?), but takes it to the next level, with some new features that you definitely need on a PV, including the ability to upload and display photos, a screen saver, a smiley face emoticon and a fully functional weather station; well, I made up the weather station bit, but you get the idea.

Now, having made light of all that, I must say that my eVic was the device that got me off the smokes, so it served its purpose well in the early days. This new one does have a lot of improvement over the old, with an entirely SS body, an improved OLED screen and can support as low as 0.5 ohm atties.

It doesn't seem to be getting any fanfare like some of the other 30 W devices, perhaps due to the price being pretty high, but it could be something worth thinking about, as an alternative VV/VW device.

I suspect the lack of fanfare could be due to them being fairly late to the party.

Plus I expect the first firmware update to restrict it to 23w.

Why do you think it will be restricted to 23 W after the update?

Joke. First evic was 15w and ended up getting knocked down to 11w with an update.

Maybe this time they won't make the 510 threads out of playdough too.

My 'dirt cheap' evic got thrown in 'desperate' drawer a fair while back. Was going to strip the board out and do something interesting with it, but never got around to it.

Yes, they have made the 510 threads replaceable on this model.
