Mod autofired in my pocket today

Went out for a vape at lunch, came back into the office.

Probably about 5 minutes later I kept smelling Boba's Bounty, thought "what the hell is that?"

As it turns out somehow, despite being locked, my mod had started autofiring in my jacket pocket.

Ran outside and took it apart, and managed to drop it all in the process.

    Casualties:

Taifun medium top cap (gouged to hell from the drop)
Taifun medium tank (crazed from the heat)
Kick 2 (maybe, haven't tested since)
    AW 18500

Might be more to it, was too hot to inspect. Really hope I haven't rooted the Taifun.

Thought I'd post this to show that you can never be too careful. I think I'm super cautious...just goes to show

Twas a clone Chi with a Fusions Mods hybrid kit.

What happened is that the pin in the Fusions spacer unwound itself enough to come into contact with the bottom pin.

Won't be using the hybrid kit on the Chi anymore unless I can come up with a better solution sans spacers.

    Sorry to hear that.

I had an experience like that with my magneto - the brass ring on the magnet unscrewed and keep the circuit .. it must have been on for 2 mins .. atty, juice, coil was all cactus

I destroyed a drip tip and lost a few layers of skin pocket firing my lux a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't get out of the house much anymore

wow - scary - glad yer ok - i always lock before pocketing but seems like shit can still happen huh

those hybrid adapters seem a little fiddly tbh - use with care

id be interested to leanr how it happened with the nemi/nemesis omnipotus....

you got me worried now because I still haven't figured out what all those spacers and orings that came with my fusion mods do... so I just don't use them
I just chuck the metal adapter on the kayfun and that's it, I don't even bother tightening it some times
    DONT DRIP AND DRIVE!
