    Kayfun lite 'popped'

My kfl sort of popped in my mouth and the coil snapped at both terminals.

Anyone ever had this before? I've just put a new coil on it now and am feeling a little paranoid

Mech, 0.8 with 28 gauge Kanthal. Was a fresh Sony vtc4 too.

You either had a short, or forgot to tighten it up

    I'd say it shorted

If you're paranoid about firing again, can you put it on a regulated device or ohm reader to make sure it's not an atty fault

I rebuilt and put it on the mvp2. It fired alright but not enough power

A variation on pebkac I think. it's a coil issue not the atty (unless its a clone then it could be short screws, dodgy build etc)

    pebmac maybe?

I was just suggesting if he was concerned that it was more than a coil issue, to play it safe.

I've never had a coil pop on me, but i've heard it's quite the spectacle

Wasn't the most comfortable experience :P

I think I'll stick to the mvp for tonight
