    Above 1 ohm dual coils??

Hey ... I was wondering if anyone has done dual coils above one ohm? I got a igo w, 28g kanthal, nemesis but don't have a 30a battery. Not looking for sick clouds ATM but just wanting to give it a go

What battery are you using there Harry? You could probably do a few extra wraps on each side to keep it above the magical 1ohm mark, but sub-ohm is a bit of a misnomer these days. I would have thought 10 wraps each side on 28g around a small screwdriver/drill bit should get you to around the 1ohm mark.

Assuming its a good quality battery, you can probably go as low as about 0.5, but I would try to stick in the 0.8 to 1 range. That should still keep you safely within the amp limit of your battery

You can go as low as .5 ohm with that battery, no problem.

Just use more wraps or a larger inner diameter.

You should be fine, 0.5ohms will be drawing 8.4amps. The cautious will usually give themselves a fair bit of wiggle room just in case, so perhaps 2amps below the maximum. Just make sure you test your resistance before firing anything and stay safe

Yeah, just more wraps (and bigger diameter), probably need about 12 wraps.

Personally though I'd buy some 30g or even 32g wire, as a large 28g coil will take a while to heat up.

As others said, I wouldn't worry if it comes out just below 1ohm.
