Does washing the tank (clearomizer) wreck it?

    Hi,

On numerous ocassions I have washed my clearo with plain tap water and when I put it back on, it stops working. Is this the cause of it? By cleaning it I unscrewed it and poured cold water into the tank. Then pour out the water. It stops working full-stop. I do not hear the slightest noise when I press my power SVD mod that is turned up to 6V.

Ps. When I replaced the coil, it works again perfectly. It is a Vivi Nova all-metal (non-see through) clearo

After a dunk in water I would expect that it will take some time for the water to heat up enough to evaporate. In the olden days, that is the only way to clean them as coils were not replaceable. I dont know the finer points of your unit but I will guess it has a ten second cut off. I believe you will have to pulse your fire button quite a few times before you see any result. Try removing your coil and allow it to dry with a little help from a paper towel, then try again?

After washing you need to let the coil and wick dry before re-assembly.
May take 30min in summer, and a few hours in winter.
