    The Rayon Thread!

Hadn't seen much talk of this, and with this having exploded over on ECF, and my first batch arriving today thought i'd spark up a thread for experiences, thoughts & comments etc relating to rayon wicks.

First impressions - Wow. Flavour and vapor out of the bag puts cotton to shame!

It's apparently quite resilient in comparison to cotton too, but this is yet to be determined for obvious reasons.

Rayon as a wicking material - Discuss!

Where'd you get it? I really want some as a mate if mine from the US has been raving about it the past couple days.
Apparently I have to be a sheep or get punished.

Heisenberg is a great punch in the pants blueberry with a bit of ice - I doubt you will be disappointed (with the Rayon or the Heisenberg!)

There is cord but I think it has nylon in it as well. Not sure. It is used as draw string material such as on sleeping bag covers etc.

Going to get some wool to try, but still unsure.

Even though it's made from natural cellulose, it goes through a heap of nasty stuff to make what is for all intentions is a plastic.

Sort of like what margarine is to butter.

    Definatley has good wicking characteristics.

I'm waiting on some tencel from the U.S., it's the modern equivalent of rayon made with an all environmentally friendly and sustainable blah blah process, I'm hoping it'll arrive by the end of the week. It sounds good, I'm pretty excited to try it after the reviews.

I bought it from a place called paradise fibre.
