    Diver V2 tips

    Calling all Diver owners!

Got my 16340's for my new Billet Box yesterday, and coiled up the Diver for a go. I'm using pre made NR-R-NR coils @1.8 ohms, and cotton for the wick. First attempt, massive flooding and leaking out the bottom pin of the Diver.

Tried again, and all I was getting were dry hits. Have rewicked about six or seven times now, and cannot get anything but dry hits, no matter what voltage the BB is set at.

Any tips from experienced users about wicking this thing?

    Cheers
    Darren

I don't know specifically about the diver in the billet box but some things to consider.

Firstly I would check each component. Put a regular carto in the billet box and see if there is an air pressure issue. A regular carto should work.

Then as the diver takes some getting used to I would put it in a normal tank to practice on. It took me a bit of messing around to get the diver working. Again air pressure is key. Watch the videos and when you get it sussed then add them together. After all that I switched over to a Sophia.

Doing it this way you can enjoy the billet box while working out what I think is the trickier component.

    That's pretty thoughtful advice XX.
Using a standard carto in the BB eliminates all the BB variables.
Using the DV2 in a standard tank where you can see everything sure helps understand the care n feeding of the DV2.
and failing all that, you can sell you Diver to me.

I'm still waiting for my diver to arrive for my BB, but looking at a review, they said not to tighten the diver down to tight as it stops a lot of the air flow and cUses flooding. Also need to put a finger at each end of the diver when filling the tank.

Or you can wack a nicely primed 3.0ohm boge slotted carto in there and not have hold anything. I would recommend doing that before the hammer comes out on the diver...
