Drippers. I'm not feeling the love.

OK guys, I need some help here. I'm just not enjoying drippers. I can build a tank with the best of them, love 'em to bits, know how each one behaves and how they like to be wicked, coiled, etc. I try dripping and it's just too bloody hot for me. I have an Igo-L, it needed a drill to make it draw better for me, still too hot. I have a Magma, just doing singles but again, still too hot. I don't do sub ohm.

I met up with Itchy Pits a few weeks back and tried his on a box mod, forgive me I have forgotten the details but it was a ripper!

WTF am I doing wrong? I needs some pointers.

Stick a maccas straw on the end of your drip tip that should cool it down

One thing might be the draw is too small for your build.. I am running a plume veil with all the holes open and chuff DT.. It isn't hot at all.. Full of flavor too!

I only have one dripper - a cyclone with AFC which currently has about a 1.5 ohm coil in it. The AFC makes a big difference - and I find so does the drip tip ( I use a teflon tru flow DT). I use it on my provari, but still don't have the volts very high.

But seriously, the Origen gives a nice cool vape. I wick it with mesh and no matter what coil I build, it's never hot or harsh.

Edit: The Magma, on the other hand, feels hot with the single 30 guage, 2ohm coil I'm currently running at 10 watts. Maybe that's because, with the Magma, the air is being heated by the metal under the coil before it reaches the coil itself.

Try a big bore drip tip and open up the air flow if you dont want to go sub ohm go as low as your comfortable with on a mech.
Im finding a love for my new 50w sigeli I have a 2ohm coil 15 wraps of 28g on a 2 mil bit running 32 watts and drowning in flavour and vapour with the air hole wide open on a mephisto.

My biggest fear is that I might die and my missus will sell my vape gear for what I told her it cost

I only have one dripper (magma), 26 and 30 guage kanthal - and have only been in the building game for about a month.

    I wrap 26g around a 2mm screwdriver 9/10 wraps single coil - ~1.3ohm at 17-20w.

30g around 2mm 9/10 wraps dual coil - ~1.4ohm roughly the same wattage.

    Full airflow on both builds.

These builds seem quite nice to me, nice and cool unless I bump up the wattage.
