    My Billet Box Journey

This is going to be a bit long winded but I thought I'd take a chance on rotten tomatoes and cabbages
being thrown at me in order to pass on my experience to those considering a Billet Box.

I started vaping in the typical way, Ego Twist with cleros, then Pro Tanks, then lashed out on a Provari from the classies here on AVF.
I tried genies but couldn't quite "get" them. After some time I bought a Russian 91% and with cotton thought I had reached
vaping nirvana. A Magma had me thinking but the hassle with "out & about" was more trouble than it was worth. The recent purchase
of a Rose V2 had the Russian collecting dust like a 5 year old's Christmas present in March, but ...

I was getting frustrated with the tube form factor. I had purchased a Hana clone and while I have decided that high wattage
vaping (20w ha!) is not for me I came to like the box mod form factor. Except for the size. In comes the Billet Box.

I had purchased a Scuba Tank and a Diver V1, mostly out of curiosity . Never having tried cartos before I messed around and pretty
much lost interest due to hassel and lack of flavour (for me). With that in mind I hovered around the Billet Box threads and the BB
web site (early Sunday mornings). The form factor and looks still called to me.

So, I pulled the trigger and while I was waiting for the delivery ordered some batteries and a Diver 2. Played around with some Boge cartos
and an X Tank but was still hoping that the BB would somehow be a totally different experience.

The BBox arrived and I eagerly set it up with a standard resistance Boge carto: muted flavour and a draw way too restricted for my liking.
The Diver 2 was better in flavour and draw. I chose the Diver because I like building coils and the idea of not having to depend upon the
availability of a manufactured item, as well as not having to throw 90% of something away appealed to me.

This went on for a couple of weeks but I was still going to my Rose & Provari more often than the BBox. I read about the Billet Bridge
and decided to give it a go in the effort to salvage a major purchase. It was that or the classies for the BBox.

What a difference! The Aspire BVC heads are great. Flavour is much better than I've had with the Diver and the draw, oh my, the draw.
It's ever so slightly more open than the Rose V2 (at 2mm) and I can approximate a lung inhale. I still get a twinge when I toss out
a coil head but it's not as bad as a carto and the performance saved me from selling the BBox.

So, I hope this helps out those of you considering a BBox. By all means approach the BBox with your own experience and tastes but for me
the BBox and BBridge are made for each other. If you are a tinkerer I'll give a shout out to ChrisCross for her home made BBridge mod.

    Good luck & happy vaping.

(edit: Happy 500th post to me )

Wow thanks mate, I feel the same way about the bb.

The cost alone had stopped me from buying one as 1) never tried carto and the uncertainty if I would love it or hate it. 2) rda/higher wattage may have ruin my VAPING experience for the bb 3) cost.

I do too started off with an ego, itaste, twist

After hearing your experience, I do feel more confident

I neither have a carto setup nor aspire nauts, so therefore no experience with either vape style

Hey Terryz - Glad you found it interesting.

The cost is justified as the BB is a quality product backed by a good company. It's got a following so there are always threads to get edumacated with.
The BBridge isn't that expensive and Atmistique is a good crowd with great shipping. In fact I ordered the Bridge from Greece and Aspire heads (from Sydney standard post) and got the Bridge first. The only other thing I'd recommend is a clear skin from JWraps or any place else that sells them as the CF cover does scratch easily.

+2 for BB and Billet Bridge. I got my first BBox and had a packet of cartos and at that time I was a frequent carto user in other devices. Meh and leaks. Poor vapor and flavour, and leaky as an AGR.

And then I got a billet bridge, and as I was already an aspire bvc fan I thought it would be good. Well, as written above the B Bridge and BVC saved my BBox from the classies. Solid, well built and a delicious form factor just made for pockets, awesome combo.

    Great write up!

I love my billet box primarily use bvc coils and billet bridge but now also have a Sophia and Diver v2 to use in a future billet box purchase.

It's strange. I had never used a carto before buying a BB and I was a little hesitant. I wanted the BB for the form factor plus being a flat contained box it sits cleanly in my suit jacket.

Here's the thing. Mine gets treated badly and yet I've never had a leak or problem with it. I was a little worried about it leaking on my suit but after about six months I'm happy to report not so much as a drop

The carto draw is different to the clearos I was used to but all in all acceptable. I have held off from buying a bridge but that may be the next addition
If anyone has a bridge they want to get rid of let me know.

All in all I would recommend them to anyone for pure simplicity and strength.
