Svoemesto clone sellers - consider yourself warned

Just got this update from svoemesto on facebook.

    SvoƫMesto | Legal References

SMtec GmbH is the owner of several trademarks and design protections in different markets around the world. In order to protect our customers, our partners and our company, we feel impelled to keep records on trademark infringements and to initiate legal actions against breaches without further warning. A breach is defined by using mentioned protected trademarks to advertise for and/ or the distribution of counterfeit products, as well as products using these trademarks, that have not been given permission to do so. A breach can and will be prosecuted retrospectively to the day the trademark has been filed.

In case you have a justified concern having committed a breach through no fault on your own or having bought a counterfeit product unwillingly or unintentionally or in case you want to report sales of counterfeits, please use the form down below to contact us for clarification.

Me too. Hope it stops resellers capitalising on clones.. Can't do anything about China making them, but can make it harder to sell them

Good to see this sort if thing. Even if it only stops one or two vendors selling clones.

What bugs me the most is when a clone is branded and bears the same box, manual, accessories.

Is there an authenticity number check on original kayfun boxes?

I love clones .......just like I love using torrents.

The $$ saved can go into other hobbies. (4WD, mountain bikes etc)

Just depends on your priorities but it's good to have options. I'll never spend $160 on a Squape reloaded when the clone works just fine.

Note: $$$ saved is not true as I now spend it all (plus more) on vaping gear

So maybe you should thank all the people who did pay $160 for an original because without that you wouldn't have your cheap ass clones.

Maybe they should sell them at a reasonable price to begin with? I don't mind spending the money when it's warranted. I have provari's and a Vaporshark as an example.

If they can be cloned and sold at a fraction of the cost, I reckon they were too much to begin with. (Queue: R&D comeback)

    It's materials and labour.

High quality stainless vs pot metal or chromed brass, peek vs plastic insulators, machining costs in Switzerland vs the cost of machining in china.
Then you have the packaging and markup to the stores that retail them, or US$2 over cost sold through a chinese warehouse in a plastic bag.

Then again, you can't educate assholes
