quad coil build on the billows rta

    Hi all,

Has anyone had a go at this? I was able to build it however realised the chimney would not fit as the coils were a bit too big. I may have another go however with a smaller inner diameter and shorter legs, possibly may try out vertical coil setup.

Also has anyone had any experience changing the billows to a nano setup? Any observable differences in flavour and clouds with the change?

    Cheers,
    Nev

I had a go with this, 0.3ohm total resistance running on an ipv2 50w, 28 gauge kanthal A1 (2mm ID) with heaps of rayon.

As the ipv2 is limited to 50w, you can get max 3.8v across each coil - thus you cannot get far with this box mod with this setup.

In all honesty - it was not worth it (with this box mod) - the drip tip gets quite hot however is not matched by massive flavour or clouds - and then the RTA body gets bloody hot. Would I recommend a quad coil at this resistance and higher power? No - the dual coil setup (at 0.5ohm and 1ohm which I have tried) is awesome with the billows.
