    TC on Kanthal

    Big claim

Asolo 200W_Shenzhen IJOY Technology Co.,Ltd. - Ijoy e-cigarette/Most electronic cigarette manufacturer innovation

I suspect they will be doing M80+ type TC for kanthal.

I expected this to happen The DNA40 was too little too late

Actually I think Evolv fell over by trying to do too much too early and then use the market as beta testers.

Be interesting to see if the kanthal thing works and how they measure the temp.

I thought the whole reason they couldn't use Kanthal is because it doesn't have a stable resistance/temp relationship like Ni200?

It doesn't. Kanthal is used for heating elements because it's so stable and has barely detectable changes in resistivity.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say, the fact that you can't relate resistance to temperature with kanthal like you can Ni200?

Thermal coefficient of resistivity; the measure to what extent any given material changes resistance as it's temperature increases or decreases. Kanthals is orders of magnitudes lower than nickel, especially at temperatures that are in a vapeable range.

I'd want to see a video of it dry firing cotton before believing this one.

It would all be about how sensitive the chip can measure the resistance, and how accurately it measures, wouldn't it?

And I liked the caption ... "Explosive View"

    That's 1.0000 to 1.0500 from 100c to 1500c though
