    battery troubles

    G'day folks,
i recently got some new 18650 batteries but it seems like they just aren't holding a charge like they should be. could my device(panzer clone with dual coil ithaka) be killing them ? i ordered protected ones from supersport off ebay so they should be the real deal. or is it maybe my charger is just dying a slow death and not giving them a good filling ? any idea's ?
I often wonder. If absolutely nothing will stick to teflon. How do they get it to stay on the frying pan?

I had a similar thing happen with a nitecore charger. For me it turned out to be the charger not the batteries.

Hard to say without additional info.
    What type of charger?
    What batteries exactly?
What's the ohms on your atty?
How long are the batts lasting?

    charger is a trustfire tr-001
    batteries are blazar NCRB3400
atty is using dual coils of 1.5 Ohm pre-made wires, so i "believe" that makes it a 0.75 Ohm

i'm getting 5-6 hoursof vaping out of them but after a couple of hours the output seems to drop off and just not have as much punch if that makes sence then they did when i first got em

I wouldn't expect more than a couple of hours of usable vape time on a single 18650 in a mechanical mod. Those batteries are also only rated for 6.8 amps continuous discharge, so your .75 ohm build is within limits, but any lower could stress them and shorten their life. You'll want to get an ohm meter to be sure what your build is doing.

Been watchin' a 2 hr uTube interview with young Zen -
Backstage Pass on EVO with Zen from House of Hybrids
He mentioned that the charger is just as important as the batteries,
& he doesn't like anything with Fire in its name.

As & when you can afford it, upgrade your charger to one of
    supersports600's
Soshine SC H2 universal LCD battery charger Li-ion NiMH...
    or a
    Nitecore D2
    Nitecore D4
    Nitecore UM10
    Nitecore UM20

All have displays & will tell you if you have a bad batt
All will not recharge a batt that has been over discharged

Concur with above ... tr-001 is about the lowest spec charger you can get , and they either work or they dont ... def pick up a better charger , its false economy as you are finding out
SoShine are my preferred charger from SS600 ... have one running a few years now with absolutely no hiccups
Newer models are just as good ( got them too )

+1 on getting a better charger and for Soshine - I recently got a SC H2 as a backup charger as it tells you how many mAh go into the charge (a useful diagnostic for battery health) + it does a pretty good job on NiMHs. Can also recommend the S1 max, has been rock solid over 2+ years.
