Try sticking it in the freezer for 10 mins then you either kitchen gloves, jar openers or rubber bands as a last resort.

the universal stuck chimney separation method i use....

if you have a rubber band or two...the big wide red ones Aus Post use for bundling, and tend to litter the neighbourhood, are handy

put them around the end(s) of the chimney piece(s) that are stuck, closest to the join , then use pliers (i.e. dont apply pressure to the open unsupported end, youll just squash and deform it)....generally because the rubber gives a good amount of friction, you shouldnt have to apply too much pressure with the pliers. try gentle first!

not sure how you put your chimney back together or pull it apart, but the top section screws into the top cap, the other part onto the deck, and join in the middle, if youre doing it any other way, like screwing the 2 parts of the chimney together then screwing into the deck or top cap etc, then chances are youre causing the issue...

and dont overtighten when reassembling, the orings dont need to be squashed against the glass to the point of ridiculousness to work...probably the single greatest cause

i have a Lemo 2, it was stuck out of the factory, but once i seperated it, it hasnt done it again...lol my Lemo 1 has always had a 1-2mm gap in the middle of the chimney, so its never been in any danger of sticking....

The chimney o-rings are a problem, when you attempt to get the chimney off, the o-ring always disappears.
I have found o-rings for drip tips that fit, see it you have any spares.
