Scottish Roll Wick method, Anyone else try it?

I'm trying a Scottish Roll Wick method atm, based off a youtube video I found the other day, and it's ticking all the boxes for me.

I have two VLS Vectors setup for flavour atm. Both running 10 wrap, 2.5mm I.D, 0.54 ohms 28g stainless steel coils.
At 2.5mm I.D, it's really tight getting it in, but I just uses a little less cotton, and I had to twist it in, follow the coil direction to keep the coil together. Fluffing that cotton at the ends was a *****.

I'm getting a good 28 puffs (Edited because I can't count ) out of about 26 drops of juice, and I haven't had any dry hits. I find it gives a better indication of when you need to re-drip than other methods.
It's alot of stuffing around to wick, but well worth it.
I'm also not getting spit back, which was an issue I sometimes had with the Vector, so there's another win.

If you're up for it, give it a shot. Here's the video.

According to the puff counter on the Kooper mini, I'm at 28 puffs when the flavour starts to disappear. Yer, I know, I can't count. lol

On a side note, I got 222 puffs out of a Koopor mini on an LG HG2 3000mAh with this setup.

I didn't watch it all but from what I saw, I dont see how it will wick any better than something with long straight strands like rayon.
Looks like any hole you are creating in the middle will be crushed when you put it through the coil if its that tight. I usually cut my
wick so it just touches the bottom of my dripper anyway and I dont really have a problem with dry hits unless I'm really not paying
    attention to what I'm doing.

Still, I'm interested to hear how others go if they try it. Particularly if they have used rayon and similar materials in the past.

I gave this a very sceptical whirl. Dude is right. Despite all vape logic it hits great and less dripping needed. Wicked a sapor rda running 0.4 dual claptons 3mm i.d at a mild 50w.

I've given this a go in the past. You get the same effect by just wicking really tight. I won't say exactly the same as it really is to the point of subjective opinion.

You also get multiple wicks from the one pad. Instead of throwing away over half of it for two wicks
