    FastTech Protank II replacement atomisers....

    Hi Guys,

    1. Are FastTech replacement Protank II atomisers 'fair dinkum' or do they 'disappoint' from others' experience, ie, buy locally and pay more?

    2. I dry burn my atomisers to get a bit of extra life out of them. When dry burning I always replace the 'flavour wicks' (my juice is thin) with 2 x 1mm strands of silica wick. Question is: would 1 x 2mm strand of wick do the same job? Again, others' experience would be invaluable I'm sure somebody out there has tried it

    Cheers.
    John

    1. Ymmv. Some good, some leak. For the cost of the genuine, go for that.

    2. Replace the same amount as you remove. when soaked, it is a volume thing, not how many. Less will give a wetter coil and might lead to gurgles and leaks. Too much, and it is dry hit time. These days my coils last weeks, so I'm not too fussed, and change it. They are cheap enough.

John, I replace the flavour wicks with a thin strand of rayon if I keep the silica wick ... keeps juice to the coil in a more timely fashion that the silica flavour wicks. Or, if you want to be adventurous, replace the silica wick with tea bag material

Just get the one that says authentic and you should be sweet.
