No idea sorry. I had a little play with it in SS mode using the Crius and Billow v2 and didn't have that issue. It seemed a bit hit and miss though, one minute it was fine and the next it was hitting temp protected the instant I pressed the fire button, even if set to 500F. I've gone back to using SS wire in wattage mode as it just works and I never have issues with dry hits anyway. One of the biggest problems is that we don't know what type of SS wire it is programmed for so its never going to be very accurate.

    Ahhh ok
Ill just go with VV - SS
I only mouth to lung so may be pointless to use temp control anyway not sure

You will have to make sure your ohms reading is low for the stainless wire, it will pop into power mode if the ohm reading is high, at this point that's all I can give you as I'm doing some experimenting myself,
stick with it though, stainless wire is delicious, I'm having great success with flavour in power mode with higher ohms... I'm waiting on thicker stainless wire to arrive to try TC mode.

I was using a 0.5 ohm SS316 coil in TC mode, didn't kick into power mode once. Because I don't like a hot vape, I had the temp set for 410F.

Tc mode (any wire)is only for 0.05 - 1.0 ohm anything else will kick it into VW mode.
