ePhoenix Hurricane v1.3 - Rust Issue

Hey all, just wondering if anyone has come across this issue with the ePhoenix Hurricane v1.3 ? It looks like rust has formed around the ePhoenix logo on the chimney.

It is authentic and and I paid $240 AUD for it. Pretty pissed actually.

Not sure how to add an image, so I have placed a link.

I've had that happen on a couple of atties with laser etching from leaving them in the ultrasonic cleaner too long. Been meaning to try a few things to get it off but like most things forgot about it. Was thinking a wipe with something like CLR might work.

I have tried ISOCOL and it doesn't come off. Doesn't look like something that will come off.

It's frustrating, cause you buy high end gear so don't have to worry about things like this. Looks like laser etching degrades the SS. How silly, why do they insist on branding the shit out of things. It's not like someone can see the logo from a distance.
This has to be a manufacturing default right?

Good to know someone else has come across this.

Something will get it off. In my case it was my fault cause I left it sit in water for a day or 2 when I got sidetracked cleaning it. Mine is an external logo so not a big issue. Looks like yours has rusted internally while vaping which is a little more concerning. Contact your vendor or ephoenix direct to see if they can offer suggestions or sort a replacement part.

Forgot to update this thread. But if anyone experiences a similar issue putting the piece in vinegar for 12 hours and lightly brushing with soft toothbrush resolved the issue for me. Been perfect ever since.
